Voters Block Apartments
Constructed in partnership with Home Leasing, LLC, Voter’s Block Apartments currently provides thirteen permanent supportive housing units to SCPO alumni and their families. Scattered among the residential community in the building, these apartments provide a critical source of safe, affordable permanent housing for the graduates of our program. On-site services include a full-time case manager and community-driven programming.
Located at 431 West Main Street, Voter’s Block is the original location of the barbershop where Susan B. Anthony and 15 women voted illegally in 1872. This site is of enormous significance to the city of Rochester and the civil rights movement, marked by a Susan B. Anthony Memorial on the premises. We are proud to take part in the ongoing legacy of these and other heroes from our community.
